Emily Erin Deschanel was born in Los Angeles, California on October 11, 1976. Her father is famed cinematographer Caleb Deschanel whose credits include The Passion of the Christ and Titanic. Her mother is actress Mary Jo Deschanel (“Twin Peaks”). Emily has a younger sister named Zooey Deschanel, who is also an actress and a singer. Emily graduated from Boston University’s Professional Actors Training Program with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theater. She is married to actor/writer David Hornsby (Sorry to all the guys out there ;])
